MERRY CHRISTMAS YA FILTHY ANIMALS!!! This may not be the most festive blog you read but it does contain sparkly clothing with badass biker jackets and that’s how I roll. Buzzing to be back “blogging” again in collaboration with PRETTY ATTITUDE the coolest Indie Rock ‘n’ Roll dot-com out there. Band tee’s, biker jackets, sexy dresses and kick-ass flares…they got it! I’ve styled up some of my favourite key pieces from their website with some of my vintage clothing as always mixing it up and keeping it me.

Pretty Attitude holiday collection has smashed it once again. It’s very dark and glam rock with studs, stars and all the classic band tees. I love how the shop is divided into BLACK LABEL and WHITE LABEL . The Black label is vampy and theatrical, for Rock'n'Roll nights and the White Label is bohemian, for wild gypsy days. Seriously, if you haven’t already GO check them out. You will be spoilt for choice!

I get asked a lot about my hair on Instagram so have been meaning to chat about it somewhere in a blog for anyone that’s interested. My hair is naturally dark. I used to box dye it black and it was so long and thick but I always craved shaggy Olsen style hair so began lightening in 2012 around the time the “dip-dye” was a trend. Many home jobs later I started getting foils at the salon to reach the bright blonde I wanted. It is a lot finer now but I have a lot of it, and ultimately I have kinda achieved what I wanted to with my hair despite mourning the condition from time to time. I dislike purple shampoos but also dislike the cost of fancy salon brands (cringe) so I just use any shampoo but I do use a little purple conditioner now as I feel this keeps it bright but not lilac toned. I don’t mind a little warmth in the blonde tone especially in the summer but quite like to be platinum for Christmas. Wash it 2-3 times a week, comb meticulously when damp with some serum being careful not to break any hair or tear out knots. I blast it almost-dry then usually put it up in a bun for a few-hours or over night to set a wave. My hair is naturally wavy but it only goes nice when it dries with sea salt spray naturally in the summer or when it’s been styled and then rained on - alas NEVER when I’m getting ready for a night out can I do “natural waves”. My tong is the LEE STAFFORD ARGAN OIL CURLING ROD it’s red & gold from boots and was really inexpensive and works well. I use the technique of keeping the curl tight at the roots and leave the ends so they fall straight. I try to frame it away from my face and usually stick a hat on FRESH HAIR day as this helps my train roots to sit more forward with volume at the back. I LOVE hat hair and the following day is optimum as it just needs a little shake out and finger comb with some try shampoo, no more heat. The third day by evening is usually when it gets knotted and some dreadlocks start to appear and that’s when I wash it again.

I HAVE A LOT OF VINTAGE FRINGED LEATHERS BUT NOT STUDDED SO THIS WAS A LITTLE MISSING JIGSAW PIECE FROM MY WARDROBE.
