This one is a museum worthy genuine afghan coat complete with soft curly lambswool interior and elaborate embroidery. The best part is this one doesn’t smell. It’s been kept in immaculate vintage condition and only shows some light sign of wear. We are smitten with this masterpiece and have showcased her in the boutique gallery wall for all to admire and now it’s time for her to find a forever home.

CONDITION : one hook fastening missing on chest, small 1cm hole under the right arm at the pit on the seam point, no over-powering odour as commonly associated with ‘Afghan coats’, silky soft Mongolian shearling inner (not itchy), some exterior marks from wear to the soft & fair outer suede leather, over all very good condition and looked after for a genuine 1960s Afghan coat - the best condition I’ve seen for one of these museum worthy pieces. This treasure will need to be looked after, you should expect some shedding or splits to occur with wear and will need to look after your afghan coat with maintenance and careful storage home; we recommend someplace dry, a coat bag, moth repellent bags and meticulous attention to seams with occasional maintenance as required. You can buy leather needles and linen thread and most haberdashery stores and if required repairs are quite easy to carry out. We don’t expect this one should need any thing soon but as all vintage items are non-returnable we hope anyone interested in offering Carol a forever home is committed to the long term love she needs.
